The Department of Labor recently announced the launch of a pilot program, Fund My Future (FMF), to connect New Jersey residents with financial assistance for upskilling and career education support. FMF funds may be used for job training and support services, including transportation, childcare, work-related tools, and more.
To participate in FMF, New Jersey residents must be at least 18 years old, have an income level consistent with ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained Employed) guidelines, and be willing and able to complete identified training and obtain employment.
Once enrolled in FMF program, participants will be provided with career coaching and training managed by grantees. Each participant will work with a career coach to create an Individual Employment Plan to assist in enhancing job skills.
