The National League of Cities (NLC), the League’s federal partner, is opposed to H.R. 2931, the Save SBA from Sanctuary Cities Act, which passed the House by a vote of 211-199.
NLC has significant concerns about recent federal efforts to designate "sanctuary jurisdictions" with a goal of limiting federal resources in those jurisdictions. This legislation would require the relocation of a regional, district, or local office of the Small Business Administration (SBA) within 60 days of a public determination that the office is located in a sanctuary jurisdiction.
NLC is urging Senators to vote "no" on the legislation as it comes to the Senate
