After multiple continuing resolutions to avoid a government shutdown for the Fiscal Year that began on October 1, the House passed the remaining spending bills in one piece of legislation to fund the federal government through September 2024 on Friday.
At publication time, the Senate was set to vote on the remaining bills. This would prevent a partial government shutdown at midnight tonight. President Biden was expected to sign the bill upon its passage.
This appropriations package includes funding for Defense, Homeland Security, Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, State, and the legislative branch. The other bills were passed earlier this month and signed by President Biden.
