[ARCHIVED] Department of Health adopted regulations concerning summer camps

The New Jersey Department of Health has implemented regulations regarding summer camps. NJAC 8:25-1.4,2.2 and 3.2 specify the following: 

  • NJAC 8:25-2.1 requires that government entities get a certificate of approval prior to operation. 
  • NJAC 8.25-3.2 requires that the youth camp or camp director conduct a criminal history record check and fingerprinting requirements for new adult staff. 

The regulations can be reviewed on the New Jersey Department of Health website.
