The Watershed Conference is an annual educational and networking event on topics related to watershed health in New Jersey.
The theme this year is regional/watershed planning, a collaborative strategy to address the impacts of climate change and to restore clean and healthy habitats. To address complex issues, we must work together to manage watersheds in a way best suited to their natural geography, beyond political boundaries.
Currently, confirmed organizations and individual speakers include those from Center for Watershed Protection, Stroud, Princeton Hydro, Rutgers University, NJ Department of Environmental Protection, and EPA Region 2. The conference will include opportunities for networking and peer discussions to foster understanding and collaboration between stakeholders across regions. Topics will include a wide net of important policy, science, and education approaches to regional issues as well as case studies from around the country.
Those interested can attend either virtually or in person. The in-person function will be held at The College of New Jersey in Ewing. Cost for virtual attendees is $45 and $90 for in-person attendees. Advanced registration is required.
