Join the League and NJDEP’s Christine Schell for a 30-minute Lunch & Learn session for local governments highlighting the State’s resources for dealing with extreme heat.
The session will include:
- A walkthrough of Heat Hub NJ, the State’s comprehensive resource for extreme heat information.
- An introduction to Chill Out NJ, an interactive map designed to help people locate cooling centers during the summer.
- A discussion on the Summer 2024 heat safety campaign by the Interagency Council on Climate Resilience, emphasizing how municipalities can disseminate these important safety messages.
