Affordable Connectivity Program Enrollment Resources

During the August Open Commission Meeting, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced new resources to help more households get enrolled in the Affordable Connectivity Program:

  • The first is the Affordable Connectivity Outreach Grant Program, which will offer $100 million in competitive grant funding to entities working to inform eligible households about Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) and assist them with the enrollment process.
  • The second is the “Your Home, Your Internet” pilot program, a $10 million program intended to help raise awareness about ACP among households receiving federal housing benefits.

League Releases Condensed Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Guidebook

A few weeks ago, the Biden Administration released the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) Guidebook. League staff reviewed the 465 page document and produced a condensed version that focuses on programs where funding is available to municipalities. In a separate spreadsheet, those same programs are broken down by category, type of project (i.e. planning, line replacement, design), and next milestone to provide you with a means to search for funding opportunities for your town.

US DOT Announces RAISE Funding Application

The US Department of Transportation announced $1.5 billion in discretionary funding from the recently passed Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). 

The Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity, or RAISE Discretionary Grant program provides an opportunity to invest in road, rail, transit and port projects that promise to achieve national objectives.
