The New Jersey Historic Trust, an affiliate of the Department of Community Affairs (DCA), has announced a new round of funding through the Historic Preservation Fund Grant Program for community preservation planning with up to $10 million anticipated for this round. Through this grant program, municipalities can pursue funding for preservation planning, local historic preservation ordinances, architectural surveys, heritage tourism initiatives, and capital construction projects.
Eligible applicants include municipal governments, counties, state agencies, and qualified nonprofits. The full guidelines and the application portal are available on the New Jersey Historic Trust webpage. Applications and supporting documents are due by April 16, 2026.
