Register for the 27th Annual Mayor’s Legislative Day
Friday, April 5, 2019
The Mayors' Legislative Day is unique occasion for local leaders to interact with individuals who are responsible for setting the agenda for Property Tax Reform, Affordable Housing, Pension and Health Benefits Reform, Transportation and Utility Issues.  It is also a great way to hear, first hand, about the State’s legislative and policy agenda from the Lieutenant Governor, members of the Cabinet and Senate and Assembly.
The 27th Annual Mayor’s Legislative Day will take place on Friday, April 5, 2019 at The State House Annex in Committee Room 4.  Registration and networking begin at 8:30 a.m. with “Welcoming Remarks” at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Commissioner’s Roundtable with a Question and Answer Session. From 10:45 11:45 a.m. a panel discussion with your Legislative Leaders. Rounding out the program is the League’s 21st Annual Elected Officials Hall of Fame Induction. Lunch will be followed by an informative tour of the Statehouse.

Registration fee for this event is $25.00 per person and registration is required.

The 1st NJ Local Government Week is approaching quickly; have you started planning yet?
NJ Local Government week creates an opportunity to let your residents know about your municipal facilities and careers, and highlight the services that their local government provides on a daily basis.
Visit the League website for a how to packet with ideas ranging from basic, no cost activities to some that are more complex.
Want the League to share the events that your municipality is planning to hold? Complete this form on the League website and let us help you spread the word! Share your activities and event photos with the League so that we may share on the League’s website, social media and in NJ Municipalities magazine. III. Earth Day April 22

The NJ Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) administers the “Earth Day NJ” website.
Features at this site include a calendar of Earth Day and Green Fair events that are being held statewide. Earth Day information, proclamations, school programs and resources are other features found at this site.
The “Earth Day NJ” website receives thousands of hits each spring.NJDEP also responds to requests for speakers, displays and DEP literature (for municipal/environmental commission/green team) displays.
