Home-Based Business Legislation Passes Senate Committee
On Monday, the Senate Economic Growth Committee amended and favorably reported S-116, which permits certain home-based businesses as accessory uses, out of committee. The bill now awaits consideration by the full Senate.

ADU Bills Merged, But Not Advanced
On Monday, the League testified before the Assembly Housing Committee in opposition to three bills that will preempt local planning and permit the development of accessory dwelling units (ADU) on property zoned for single- or two-family residential uses.

Governor Conditionally Vetoes SHBP Reporting Legislation
Governor Murphy conditionally vetoed A-5039, which requires the Division of Pensions and Benefits to report certain information to the SHBC prior to transferring funds from the State part of SHBP to the local Government Employer Group.
