29^th Annual Mayors’ Hall of Fame

We need your help to identify some very special mayors for the Mayors’ Hall of Fame. 

The New Jersey State League of Municipalities Executive Board wants to pay tribute at the Annual League Conference in November to those who have served a total of 10 years or more as mayor. Mayors who rotate into office are eligible for this recognition. 

In a special ceremony at the Mayors’ Lunch Briefing during the Annual Conference, there will be a special presentation to those mayors who meet the following criteria: 

• Must currently be serving as mayor.
• Must currently be serving in at least 10^th cumulative year as mayor for the silver level. 
• Must currently be serving in at least 20^th cumulative year as mayor for the gold level.
• Must currently be serving in at least 30^th cumulative year as mayor for the platinum level.
• Must not be a current member of the League’s Mayors’ Hall of Fame unless the silver level mayors are now eligible for the gold level or gold level mayors are eligible for platinum. 

These recipients will be inducted into the New Jersey League of Municipalities Mayors’ Hall of Fame and an announcement and photo appear in the January 2024 issue of New Jersey Municipalities magazine. 

With your help we can identify and recognize all mayors currently serving in their 10^th, 20^th, or 30^th year as mayor. A list of current members of the Mayors’ Hall of Fame can be found at the League website on the “Award Programs” page.

League Annual Conference Event Tickets are Available

NJLM Event Ticket are now available for purchase. You must be a registered attendee to the Conference to attend the events. There is a separate fee for each ticketed event per ticket. Click on the link League Event Tickets - 108th Annual League Conference (njlm.org) and select the “Purchase Tickets” button. The deadline for advance ticket sales is October 20. Tickets will be available onsite at the Atlantic City Convention Center, at the onsite registration counter on the 2^nd level to the right of Hall C until sold out.   

Mayor's Lunch Briefing $30

Wednesday, November 15, 12:15 p.m. - 1:00 p.m., Crown Ballroom, Sheraton

This event is specific to Mayors: On Wednesday afternoon, join mayors from around the state. Honor your peers for their achievements in the League’s Hall of Fame and the Innovation in Governance Awards and build a dialogue with the directors of State agencies. Lively discussions during the event provide information not only from the speakers but also from the audience. 

Women in Municipal Government Networking & Awards Event $35

Wednesday, November 15, 5:15 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Crown Ballroom, Sheraton

On Wednesday evening, after Annual Conference sessions have concluded, gather with other elected officials and local government enthusiasts to celebrate the accomplishments of outstanding women in New Jersey government.  

League Delegates Luncheon $45

Thursday, November 16, 12:15 p.m. - 1:30 p.m., Crown Ballroom, Sheraton

On Thursday afternoon, delegates gather for this sit-down lunch which puts you in the room with League and State leadership and creates a learning opportunity to start 2024 on the right foot. The League Delegates Luncheon is a gathering of local government officials and those who support their work. Whether a longtime member or newly elected, it is an inspiring way to wrap up your Conference week.
