Mayors Taking the Lead on Housing Reform
The League’s Mayors Housing Policy Committee, co-chaired by Past Presidents Mayor Janice Mironov of East Windsor and Mayor Colleen Mahr of Fanwood, has created a Mayors Working Group to identify challenges and ideas of common interest and develop concrete constructive proposals for Legislative and Administrative consideration, especially in light of the upcoming 2025 Affordable Housing Fourth Round. As part of this important initiative, the Working Group will convene two in-person Mayors' roundtables and conduct a third forum via Zoom to fully engage and hear from the League’s membership and solicit ideas for reforms.
The roundtables likely will be held in late September and October 2023. Dates and locations will be provided in the upcoming weeks.
