SHBP Plan Design Committee April Meeting

The State Health Benefits Program (SHBP) Plan Design Committee (PDC) had its regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday. There was no discussion of cost-saving measures for municipalities in the SHBP.

NJ OEM Seeks Municipal Input on FEMA STORM Loan Program

The NJ Office of Emergency Management is soliciting ideas from local governments to assist with the development of eligible projects for FEMA’s $5 million STORM Revolving Loan Fund Program.

On Wednesday night, the House passed the Limit, Save, Grow Act–a debt limit bill–by a vote of 217-215.

PERC Sets 2023 Public Employment Conference 

The New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission (PERC) is presenting the 2023 Public Employment Conference on Thursday, May 4, 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hilton in East Brunswick. Presented in cooperation with PERC and the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) Labor and Employment Law Section, the event gathers attorneys, arbitrators, union members, government officials, and public employees in-person after meeting virtually for the last couple of years. 

Attendees will hear presentations about many of today's cutting-edge issues, including timely discussions about ongoing pandemic-related challenges, and may be able to earn up to 6.9 CLE credits. Registration is priced at $199 for NJSBA members and $235 for general tuition.
