Annual Elected Officials’ Hall Of Fame
Dear Mayor and Governing Body Members,
After a 3-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the New Jersey League of Municipalities is pleased to accept nominations once again for the Elected Officials Hall of Fame. The Elected Officials Hall of Fame recognizes the many long-term municipal governing body members who have selflessly served their municipalities.
This special honor is reserved for those governing body members, active and retired, who have served 20 or more years in elected municipal office. These committed elected officials have governed their municipalities for lengthy tenures, guiding their communities through the good times and troubled times.
The Elected Officials Hall of Fame will shine a light on these leaders in a special ceremony during the March 29, 2023, Mayors Legislative Day at the State House. They will be recognized at the event, on the League’s website, and in the League magazine, New Jersey Municipalities. Because of the 3-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the League will be honoring anyone who was nominated between the years 2020 and 2023.
If you know of any elected municipal officials not currently in the Elected Officials Hall of Fame, who have served at least 20 years in elected municipal office, please use the form on our website to nominate them for this special recognition. Please submit these form(s) by March 1, 2023, for inclusion in the ceremony. Confirmations will be mailed to the nominees in March.
A full list of Hall of Fame inductees is posted on the League Website’s Elected Officials Hall of Fame Page.
If you have any questions, contact the League’s Executive Director, Michael Cerra at 609-695-3481, extension 120.
Thank you for joining us in celebrating municipal excellence.
