The League Conference and its Affiliates would like to welcome you to the New Jersey League of Municipalities’ 106th Conference. The sessions listed below will provide you with insights into   local government and the resources available to your community. If you’re new to the League Conference, or interested in a better understanding of NJLM, please note these sessions on your schedule.

Tuesday, November 16

Leadership, Laughter, & Learning: A Workshop for Government Officials (Room 411). This past year has been a strange one in the Garden State, but the New Jersey leaders who have survived most effectively are the ones who laughed at themselves and learned a great deal in the process. For elected government leaders, the benefits of laughter are many. So how can you add a daily laughter pill (or two) to your government diet? In this program, former Flemington Councilman Joey Novick and Assemblyman Jon Bramnick (LD-21) will share their secrets of achieving stress reduction, gaining wisdom, and enhancing communication skills through laughter. This is a part of the Local Government Leadership Program (LGLP).

Resolutions Committee Meeting (Room 322). The Resolutions Committee meeting is open to all delegates. Municipal officials are encouraged to attend and comment upon proposed resolutions. Only members of the Committee may vote at the Committee Meeting.

Wednesday, November 17

10:45 a.m.

Elected Officials Primer: Ethics, OPRA, OPMA, and Civility (Room 417). Municipal officials will receive up-to-date information on various ethics issues, the Open Public Meetings Act, Access to Public Records, and civility in public discourse. This is a part of the Local Government Leadership Program (LGLP).

Thursday, November 18
