Shuttle Bus & Verification Options

Experience shows the shuttle bus system is the best method for getting around Atlantic City. Please see the shuttle bus schedule.

We recommend you plan on using the shuttles from the hotels to the Convention Center. There is no need for you to carry bus fare, they are quick and convenient, and they will save you time.

Please note that you can verify your vaccination or negative COVID test offsite verification check-ins during peak hours (Look for signage at the properties) at the Borgata, Caesars, Hard Rock, and Tropicana before boarding the shuttles on:

  • Tuesday: 12 Noon-4 p.m.

  • Wednesday: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Those coming from other hotels and anyone else not scanned at one of these offsite locations must go through the Verification Stations at the Atlantic City Convention Center:

  • Monday Set-Up Day, Outside Hall B: 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

  • Tuesday Atrium at the entrance of the ACCC: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

  • Wednesday Atrium at the entrance of the ACCC: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

  • Thursday: Atrium at the entrance of the ACCC 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

On-site rapid testing will be available at no cost:

  • Tuesday: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

  • Wednesday: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

  • Thursday: 8 a.m.-12 noon

For testing, delegates will be asked to provide insurance information, but individuals will not be charged under any circumstance. Results will only be verified and not retained by the League.

Important League Sessions: Communications

At this year’s League Conference, attendees will have the opportunity to gather again in person and discuss the highlights and lessons gleaned from a unique period in local government history that required new ways to communicate with staff and constituents alike. Attend the following sessions for insights on how to communicate effectively and with less stress.

Tuesday, Nov. 16

3:30-4:45 p.m.

Leadership, Laughter, & Learning: A Workshop for Government Officials, (Room 411). For elected government leaders, the benefits of laughter are many. So how can you add a daily laughter pill (or two) to your government diet? Former Flemington Councilman Joey Novick and Assemblyman Jon Bramnick (LD-21) will share their secrets of achieving stress reduction, gaining wisdom, and enhancing communication skills through laughter.

Wednesday, Nov. 17

1:30-2:45 p.m.

Communicating with Residents During COVID, (Room 412). Ensuring that you reach all residents with your messages can be difficult in a typical year. The struggle of successfully breaking through communication barriers and reaching a multigenerational audience was amplified over the pandemic. This panel will discuss municipalities’ experiences and share some of the communications tools and campaigns they developed.

3:30-4:45 p.m.

A Legacy of Safety: How Municipalities are Making It Happen, (Room 301). As we continue to reckon with harm and harassment in the New Jersey political sphere, how are municipalities creating a new legacy of safety at work? Hear from your colleagues who are creating environments of safety and dismantling oppression in town hall and beyond throughout the state.
