Pushing through the intense challenges of
COVID-19 and Tropical Storm Ida recovery,
a race for the 2021 Gubernatorial election is
still about to take center stage. As the state works
through a number of traditional concerns in tandem
with the rigorous work demanded in ongoing
emergency situations, local officials are looking to
the leadership of the state for support. Candidates
Governor Phil Murphy (Democrat) and former
Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli (Republican) have
provided their insights on prominent issues for
municipalities in a series of questions from the
NJLM Legislative team.
