The Creative Aging Initiative Grant (CAI) provides $10,000 to eligible New Jersey community and senior centers and local governments. CAI projects involve arts-based learning that engages older adults through multiple sessions, which could be residencies or individual workshops in the performing, visual, media, or literary arts. The grant supports arts learning experiences for adults aged 55 and over. Successful applicants will receive $10,000 annually for the two-year grant cycle, depending on available resources.
The grant period is from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026 (Year 1), and July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027 (Year 2). Applications are expected to open in SAGE on January 7, 2025, with a deadline of February 27, 2025, at 12:00 PM.
Free technical assistance is available, and applicants are encouraged to use all available resources well before the deadline. Guidelines are also available on the Arts Council website.
