The New Jersey Council on the Arts in partnership with Forecast Public Art is hosting a free, 5-week virtual training series “Making It Public” for local governments, regional art councils, and nonprofits to develop skills in promoting and strengthening public art in their communities.
This series includes five 90-minute virtual workshops that will cover topics including stakeholder considerations, community engagement, preparing for calls-for-artist, equitable selection processes, contracting, and more.
The registration deadline is February 20. The series will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the following dates:
February 29: Welcome and Introduction
March 7: Community Engagement
March 14: RFQ/RFP
March 21: Artist Selection and Administration
March 28: Conclusion
