Federal Government Shutdown Averted

This past weekend, hours before a shutdown of the federal government, Congress passed H.R. 5860, which funds the government at current levels through November 17, 2023. Shortly thereafter President Biden signed the bill. This extension includes funding the National Insurance Flood Program and the Federal Aviation Administration but does not include funding for the Farm Bill, which expired without congressional action on September 30.
