NJTPA is now accepting applications for Vibrant Places Program, which provides technical support for local development initiatives. Applications are due by September 30.
The North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) is requesting proposals for the FY 2024 Vibrant Places Program, an initiative that provides technical assistance for innovative placemaking projects. These projects are envisioned to seamlessly integrate with community planning through avenues like art, culture, and other community assets.
The program extends its invitation to stakeholders In the NJTPA region, including municipal and county governments, non-profit entities, and non-governmental organizations. Special consideration is given to collaborations between municipalities, counties, and non-governmental organizations.
Up to four projects will be selected for technical assistance services in the form of staff time from the Voorhees Transportation Center at Rutgers University. Projects should be small in scale and must be able to be completed within three to five months. All projects must be completed by May 31, 2024.
All applications must be submitted by September 30, 2023. Notice of decisions will be made in October 2023.
