The Wildwoods have setup a new model for building/code inspection. For the past decade or so they had the JCOW, a seperate government entity responisble for this service. That fell apart largely due to a lack of oversight and the resultant lawsuits. The service is now being delivered with the City of Wildwood acting as the lead agency. The office is managed by Wildwood and the employees are employees of Wildwood. Three other municipalities are involved, West Wildwood, North Wildwood, and Wildwood Crest.
