On Monday, Sept 29 at 7:30 p.m. the Warren-Morris Council of Governments will hold a brief presentation on its activities followed by the following confirmed speakers: Michael Darcy of the NJ League of Municipalities on shared service assistance, Mansfield Shool Business Administrator Mary Roszkowski on new laws and their effect on school budgets, State Senator Steven Oroho (24th District) and Assemblyman Michael Doherty (23rd District). The informational session is open to the public and will be held at the Mansfield Municipal Building at 100 Port Murray Road in Port Murray. Interested parties from any municipality in the region are welcome.

Consultant for Feasibility Study

Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority (“FMERPA”) is seeking a consultant or consultants to provide a feasibility study for sharing Emergency Services for the Fort Monmouth Region. This study includes services provided by Police, Court, Fire, First aid, and Emergency Management organizations.

The data that the evaluation/analysis study will consist of includes data for geographical apportionment, existing personnel and cost, existing fire department facilities and locations, existing police department facilities and locations, existing court requirements and needs, and additional data that is included in the Scope of Services of this RFP.

This study is being conducted on behalf of the Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority’s Emergency Services Advisory Committee. The RFP can be located at www.nj.gov/fmerpa/pdf/SharedES_RFP2.pdf. The deadline for submission is 11 April, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Municipal Court, Building Department, Tax Assessor, Utility Collection, Senior Transportation

The City of South Amboy is interested in sharing services with surrounding municipalities. Areas of shared service agreements include but are not limited to Municipal Court, Building Department, Tax Assessor, Utility Collection, Senior Transportation. Interested in Sharing Services

The City of Hackensack is interested in sharing services with surrounding municipalities. Any municipality who believes there may be an opportunity to share services with Hackensack, please contact Steve Lo Iacono, City Manager at citymanager@hackensack.org. Thank you.

Borough Clerk

Stratford Borough located in Camden County is looking for another municipality to share its Borough clerk. The ideal shared services would be 50/50 split of work hours. If interested please contact Mayor John Gentless at Drjohnfoot@aol.com.

Building Inspectors/Code Officials

Please advise if any municipality set up an interlocal agreement to share building inspectors, code officals, etc.

Trash Removal

Jamesburg is looking for another municipality to provide us with trash removal. We currently use a private hauler but would prefer an Interlocal Service Agreement. Please email djawidzik@jamesburgborough.org if interested and I can provide information on our requirements.
